I grew up in Zahle, Lebanon, and moved to Calgary to complete my undergraduate degree in Cellular Biology at the University of Calgary. I went on to earn a Master’s degree in Neuroscience, where I studied calcium signaling and ion exchangers, before completing my medical degree – also at the University of Calgary.

My passion for neurology developed through both my graduate research and my clinical experiences during medical school. I was drawn to the complexity of the nervous system, its profound impact on patients, and the remarkable breadth of the field – from acute care in the hospital to the long-term management of chronic neurological conditions. I’m excited by opportunities to connect scientific discoveries with patient care, and to see how advances such as imaging and predictive analytics are increasingly integrated into everyday neurology.

Outside of residency, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing music, and staying active through hiking and skiing in the Rocky Mountains.
