Dr. Angela Russell
I grew up with a strong foundation in nursing and health sciences, completing undergraduate degrees in both, followed by a Master of Nursing and a Post-Master’s Nurse Practitioner diploma.
Before pursuing a career in medicine, I spent 14 years working as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in clinical neurosciences. I later completed my medical degree at the University of Calgary and was fortunate to stay here for my neurology residency.
I have a longstanding passion for neuromuscular neurology and will be completing a fellowship in Clinical Neuromuscular and EMG at the University of Calgary after residency. I’m excited to continue building a career that combines my background in nursing with my training in neurology to improve the lives of patients living with neuromuscular disease.
Outside of residency, I enjoy running, hiking, cycling, and cooking. Most of all, I love spending time with my husband and our two children.
