Dr. Ann Subota
I was born in Calgary and completed my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary. I had the privilege of participating in the Leaders in Medicine Program as a joint MD/MSc student, completing a Master’s specializing in Health Services Research.
I’ve always been drawn to neurology because it is a rapidly evolving field that balances scientific discovery with patient care. While significant strides have been made to improve quality of life for patients and their families, many knowledge gaps remain. It is both an honor and a responsibility to guide patients and their families through these challenging times. My clinical and research interests focus on improving care for adults with neurological conditions, with particular enthusiasm for epilepsy and care of older adults.
Outside of residency, I enjoy playing tennis, cross-country skiing, and attending the opera and ballet.
