Dr. Easton Munchrath

I grew up in southern Alberta but spent about nine years in Edmonton, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, an MBA, and medical school. Growing up playing hockey in an era when the effects of head injury were becoming better understood first sparked my interest in neurology, but it was the fascinating patterns of neuroanatomy and how they apply to clinical practice that kept me hooked.

I’m still exploring where I’ll land in neurology, though I currently have projects underway in both neuroimmunology and neuromuscular disease. I’m excited to see how my interests evolve throughout residency and beyond.

Outside of residency, I love running and exploring Calgary’s trail system with my two dogs, Maisie and Artie. At home, you can usually find me watching Oilers games or bad reality TV with my partner, Ella.
