I grew up in The Pas, Manitoba. After several years of traveling, I completed my Kinesiology degree at the University of Saskatchewan, followed by a Master of Physiotherapy at McGill University, before returning to The Pas to work as a pediatric physiotherapist. I eventually pursued medicine and completed my MD at the University of British Columbia’s Okanagan Campus, where I fell in love with both the mountains and neurology. I’m grateful to continue pursuing these passions here in Calgary.

I was initially drawn to physiotherapy because I loved observing how people move and using that knowledge to guide diagnosis and treatment. Neurology allows me to build on these skills while exploring the full breadth of the field. I’m particularly excited by advances in stroke care and look forward to seeing similar progress in the treatment of hemorrhagic strokes.

Outside of residency, I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, skiing, and paddleboarding, and I’m always up for trying new activities. I also love relaxing at home with my cat, Guinness, tending to my flowers, and experimenting with new recipes.
