Dr. Megan Yaraskavitch
I grew up in Whitby, Ontario working in my family’s greenhouse and playing lots of sports (field lacrosse, hockey and curling). I completed a BSc in Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo Ontario, while playing varsity lacrosse, then moved to Calgary to complete a MSc in Biomechanics and medical school. I completed residency training at the University of Calgary and have been working as a general neurologist since September 2017.
I am interested in making healthcare better for everyone. I completed an additional MSc at Queens University, in Health Care Quality and Patient Safety and am currently the Vice Chair Patient Safety and Quality Improvement for the Department of Clinical Neurosciences in addition to assistant program director for the adult residency program.
One of my favourite things about my job is getting to work with an amazing, fun group of colleagues and trainees! Outside of work, I help coach my daughter’s hockey team and love to garden.
