Dr. Vanessa Ha

I grew up in Toronto, where I completed an HBSc and MSc in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto, followed by a PhD in Health Research Methodology at McMaster University and my medical degree at Queen’s. I eventually traded Toronto’s skyline (and its mischievous raccoons) for Alberta’s beautiful mountains, and I’m now excited to be training in Calgary’s neurology residency program.

I’m especially drawn to stroke neurology for its fast pace and the exciting research coming out of Calgary in this area. I look forward to building a career that combines clinical care with ongoing opportunities in research and innovation.

 Outside of residency, I’m on a mission to find a pizza place that can top my current favourite, Pizza Culture. I’m also a proud dog mom to a French Bulldog who shares my love of pizza – though he’s much less picky.
